She graduated from University of Tasmania (LLB) and Strathclyde Graduate Business School (MBA). She previously worked in Shearn Delamore (Malaysia), Zaid Ibrahim (Malaysia) and Norton Rose LLP (London). She was named as one of the leading lawyers in Banking and Finance by Islamic Finance News (2010). She is qualified as a solicitor in Malaysia (1999) and in England and Wales (2008).
